Like many modern romances, ours began online. The year was 2005, when online dating was still new. There was no swiping left and smartphones didn’t exist. Our overly thought out profiles and blurry scanned photos were enough to attract each other’s brand of weird. We dated for several months but things fizzled out.

In 2018, we reconnected via Facebook (much as a broken clock is right twice a day, Facebook can sometimes be useful). After talking all night, we kept talking. 8 years later, we’re lucky enough to be marrying our best friend.
